Lithonia, Georgia
Artisan breads, house-roasted coffee, and a pantry thoughtfully stocked for the home cook who believes the best meals begin with the finest ingredients.
Pleasant Grind Room opened its doors in Lithonia with a simple conviction: that the people who live, work, and raise families here deserve a place that takes food seriously — without the pretense.
What started as a weekend bake stand at the Lithonia farmers market grew into a full kitchen and a corner grocer that neighbors now call their own. Every sourdough loaf, every bag of single-origin beans, every jar of small-batch jam on our shelves carries the same standard we'd hold up at our own table.
We're not chasing trends. We're baking the bread you ask for, roasting the coffee you crave, and stocking the pantry items that make weeknight dinners feel like something more. That's the pleasant part — it's just good food, done right, right here.
Everything we make or stock is chosen with the same care — quality you can taste, value you can trust, and a story worth telling.
Country loaves, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal specials — all baked fresh each morning using naturally leavened starters and stone-ground flours.
Small-batch roasted on-site, from single-origin beans sourced directly from farms we know by name. Espresso, pour-over, or bagged for home.
A carefully selected pantry — olive oils, vinegars, pastas, spices, and regional specialties — everything you need to turn a good ingredient into a great meal.
Butter croissants, fruit tarts, holiday stollen, and small-batch preserves — each item made in rotation with what's fresh and what the season calls for.
We don't rush dough. We don't cut corners on butter. Every recipe in our kitchen has been tested, adjusted, and tested again until it earns a place on our shelves.
Our sourdoughs rest for 24–48 hours, developing flavor and digestibility that no accelerated process can replicate.
We buy green beans from the farms that grow them, roast them in small batches here in Lithonia, and sell them at fair prices.
From the dairy farm down the road to the honey producer two counties over, our suppliers are our neighbors.
Day-old bread becomes breadcrumbs and bread pudding. Compost goes back to the farms we source from.
Stop by for a fresh loaf, a cup of coffee, or a quick browse through our pantry. We're open seven days a week and always happy to recommend something you haven't tried yet.
